Sergey Kharitonov is a trained paratrooper and former member of the Russian Airborne Troop. Those assault tactics he learned are brought to the ring with him. Kharitonov favors the frontal assault and retreat is never an option.

Most fight fans in the US will know him from his MMA career, which includes stints with STRIKEFORCE and PRIDE FC. Infamously heavy-handed, nine of his 18 MMA wins have been by way of stoppage. Among his victims have been former champion Andrei Arlovski and top contender Alistair Overeem.

Kharitonov made the switch to kickboxing several years ago and is a two-sport fighter, continuing to compete under MMA rules as well as for GLORY under the Unified Rules of Kickboxing. Whether wearing big gloves or small, he is one of the most powerful fighters in the heavyweight division and certainly one of the toughest.
